Fifteen fighter aircrafts are currently guarding airspace over the Baltic states after NATO’s Baltic Air Policing mission in Lithuania has been reinforced by Germany’s Air Force Eurofighters.
The German Air Force detachment was deployed to Šiauliai Airbase in northern Lithuania under a bilateral agreement between Germany and the United Kingdom, the Lithuanian Defence Ministry said on Monday.
In Šiauliai, the Germans joined the UK detachment that is carrying the mission together with Spanish Air Force. Läs artikel
